Manchester Senior Center Inclement Weather Policy 

If Manchester public Schools are closed due to bad weather, all Senior Center activities, classes, programs, transportation services and lunches are cancelled.  However, the staff will report and the office will be open for business.

If Manchester Public Schools are delayed because of bad weather, Senior Center activities, classes, programs and transportation services will be delayed for 1-2 hours as determined by staff.  The time at which activities begin after a delay will be publicized as described below.

If travel becomes hazardous during the course of the day due to weather conditions, Senior Center staff may decide to cancel activities for the remainder of the day.  If this occurs, all bus passengers will be driven home.  No passenger will be left stranded.

Senior Center members are encouraged to check for cancellations or delays during inclement weather.  The following sources will have information on weather-related schedule changes:

Please Do Not Enter the Senior Center parking lot from the front of the building roadway. There have been some near misses. THE ONLY ENTRANCE to the Senior Center Parking Lot is off of Vernon Street. You may enter and exit from that driveway. When leaving the front parking lot you may ONLY EXIT into the front roadway of the Senior Center. Let us remind you all that YOUR SAFETY is in our best interest and we would appreciate your attention to this matter so there are no unneccessary accidents waiting to happen.
